Inexpensive Tools for Art Pouring

Inexpensive Tools for Art Pouring

I often find inexpensive kitchen tools to do my art pouring at dollar stores.

The image has kitchen tools, turners, colander, clips, spatulas, masking tape, measuring cups, and funnels.

Turners

I used turners for swiping and spreading paint on the canvas.

Spatulas

Spatulas are suitable for mixing a large amount of paint with Glue-All or Flotrel. The plastic handle is more comfortable than a long wooden stick.

The image has five canvases with blue tape covering the wood on the back.

Tape

Masking tape and painter tape are good for protecting the canvas back. It will help keep it clean of the paint dripping off the edges.

Funnels

I use funnels for creating different sizes of cells or floating bubbles.

Clips

I used clips to hang up my stencils to dry after I was them.

Colander

A handheld colander is excellent for pouring different paint colors through and moving it around simultaneously.

Measuring Cups

I use measuring cups to create paint mixtures that divide into correct proportions.

These are a few of the supplies I pick up during dollar store visits. Some stores also have wood sticks and plastic cups or paper cups.

I hope these suggestions help your budget.

Happy Pouring!
